Valencia

Valencia in Spain has a historic heritage, a modern cultural life and a vivid offer of restaurants and bars.

The old town, El Carmen, is truely the place to spend time during your visit. In this area you’ll find many important buildings including the cathedral, the art deco food market and the ceramics museum. It’s also a good place to find lots of attractive items when doing your shopping. And if you fancy a cosy evening immerse yourself in the small tiled streets: here are many different bars, tapas restaurants and clubs.

Valencia’s City of Arts and Sciences is a cultural centre made up of one-of-a-kind modern architecture and stretching over 2 km. It contains an Opera house and performing arts centre; an Imax Cinema, Planetarium and Laserium; a Walkway / Garden; a Science museum; an Open-air aquarium and oceanographic park.

Surrounded by attractive streams and pools of water, the area is also used as a relaxing place to walk day or night. Outside the Science museum there’s an open-air bar which is open in the evenings.

Valencia is also a wonderful place for relaxing outdoor. There is 13 km of golden sandy beaches, parks and gardens throughout the city offering tranquility and beauty. The riverbed of the River Turia has been dried out and now offers 9 km of parks and botanical gardens that cut right through the heart of the city. The Valencia Bioparc is a zoo that makes you feel in the heart of the African wilderness.

The beautiful Aragon region is close to Valencia. A relaxed Cycling Holiday makes a great combination of this attractive nature area including pretty medieval villages and the city of Valencia!
