Making a cycling holiday in Andalucia (Spain) is a unique exprience: from the stunning town of Ronda, situated on top of an impressive gorge, all the way to to the lively and historic city of Seville.The region of Andalucia is the genuine pearl of Spain: great nature, ancient cities and friendly inhabitants. Following green cycle roads – old railway tracks – and cycling along beautiful white villages you’ll live Andalucia in the best way. In Seville you’ll find great architecture from the days when the Moors lived here, such as the Royal Palace and the Plaza de España. Enjoy this superb town by bike on the excellent cycle lanes: many restaurants, outdoor cafés and flamenco performances.
Day to Day Program
Day 1. Arrival at Malaga airport
Upon arrival at Malaga airport you will be transferred to Ronda (appr. 1,5 hrs.), the starting point of your cycling tour. From the hotel you can walk straight into the center for an exploration of the old town or for a walk across the park with a phenomenal view over the lower plains.

Day 2. Round trip Ronda (26/52 km)
Today it is time to test the bikes. From Ronda you may choose from two different distances (26 or 52 km). Ronda is situated on a plateau, so on your way back some hills have to be overcome. The long version also includes a visit of the town of El Burgo.

Day 3. Ronda – Olvera (34/44 km)
Today it is time for the first real cycling trip which leads to Olvera. Again you may choose from two different routes, varying in difficulty. On the way you will cycle along several charactristic’white villages’ (pueblos blancos). After appr. 8 kilometers, it is time for your first cup of coffee in Arriateor else a bit later in the village of Setenil de las Bodegas, one of the famous white towns. Then the cycling itinerary continues on a hilly trail past olive groves and finally you arrive in Olvera.

Day 4. Olvera-Montellano (43/48 km)
Today you pedal on the Via Verde de la Sierra: a former railway track that has been converted into a cycle lane. Follow the old track through more than 30 railway tunnels where the lights automatically turn on for you as soon as you enter it. Halfway you will pass the former railway station of Coripe. The station has been converted into a hotel bar where you may enjoyn a delicious coffee. Don’t forget to look up for the circling vultures along the way to Montellano!

Day 5. Montellano-Ultrera (47 km)
From Montellano you will leave for the longest ride of your cycling holiday. When leaving Montellano you will cycle on a beautiful and almost car-free road across the undulating Spanish landscape. In the village of El Palmar de Troya (after appr. 30 KM) you several tasteful options for a Spanish lunch. A beautiful cycle road leads to Ultrera, a wonderful location to immerse yourself in a typical Spanish ambiance.

Day 6. Ultrera-Seville (40 km)
On the way to the finish of your cycling holiday you’ll experience how Spain is really starting to adapt to the cyclist: on today’s ride you just cycle straight on to the city of Seville on the horizon. Seville is great: not only for a stay, but also the arrival there by bicycle!

Day 7. Tour of Seville (12 km)
Seville has phantastic facilities for cyclists. A bright-green cycle lane takes you acoss the whole city. So take your bike and pedal to the Plaza de Espana, the cathedral of Seville, the Moorish Palace ‘Alcázar Real de Sevilla’ and many other places. Enjoy this vibrant Spanish city, including many delicious tapas.

Day 8. Departure to Seville airport
Transfer to Seville airport for the return flight to your home.
